WRL SEASON POINTS CHAMPIONSHIP

All cars competing with World Racing League may earn points toward the National Points Championship as well as region-specific championships. Points will be awarded based on finishing position in each class using the “Standard Points” matrix below.

Points Rules

  • Unless otherwise specified, points are available for every race

  • Points are awarded per class based on official timing and scoring results

  • Points are not awarded to teams that DNF

  • Points are assigned to the car in which they were earned and do not carry over if a car is sold during the season

  • Points cannot be combined between cars. If a car is lost during the season so are the points earned in that car

  • Points do not transfer between classes for the purpose of earning a class championship (but still apply for overall points championship)
  • WRL may add bonus points to certain races, increasing the point value for each top 10 finisher by the value specified (i.e. "+2 Bonus Points")
  • For undersubscribed classes (less than 6 cars entered in a class) points will be awarded per the “Modified Points” matrix below.
  • Teams are responsible for verifying their points total
. Discrepancies should be emailed to points@racewrl.com no later than the last race of the season

Determining Points Championship

  • For determining Points Championships, a team’s top 5 finishes will be counted
  • Tie breakers will be determined by: Total season points, total number of season wins, total number of second place finishes, total number of third place finishes, etc.
